Daya Bay Neutrino Experiment

The Daya Bay Neutrino Experiment investigates neutrino oscillations to better understand the fundamental nature of matter. PSL provided the engineering, design, and fabrication expertise behind the experiment's antineutrino detector systems.

Antarctic Glaciological Research: Shot Hole Drill

PSL designed and built the Shot Hole Drill to support Antarctic glaciological research by rapidly drilling precise holes in ice for seismic studies. The system enables researchers to better understand the structure and movement of ice sheets.

LHC Compound Muon Solenoid

The CMS experiment at CERN's Large Hadron Collider studies the fundamental particles of the universe through high-energy collisions. PSL led the design, integration, assembly, and installation of the detector's massive endcaps.

IceCube Gen 1

The IceCube Neutrino Observatory studies elusive neutrinos using a detector embedded deep within the Antarctic ice. PSL began its IceCube work by designing and building the hot water drill system used to deploy the detector strings.
